Defining Ourselves: Who Are We?

As individuals, we are our own self. We are our team. We are our cheerleader. We are many things, don’t give in to what others label you to be. You are much more than that!

Just know yourself as who you truly want to be without letting them change your direction and keep your head up high enough so that you know where you want to go and not looking back: Leave the past behind, they are there for a reason.

Allow yourself to look in the mirror and say: “I’m enough, I will be successful, I love my crooked smile, I’m perfectly imperfect”. To have a affirmation that makes you realize that you are so much more than what society tries to make us feel that we aren’t.” – Demetra Demi Gregorakis

Who are we? Humans, but what else? Whatever and whoever we want to be as a human. But after analyzing our society and how it is being lived, there are a few things that prevent this from happening. But why are we held back from this?

  • Laws, religion, rules, against anything about who we want to be
  • Judgments
  • May seem like part of that person may go against what our own family expect us to be as a human being in all reality
  • Fear of being hurt by negative comments, criticism and the constant bulling scenarios that happen and are the things that are perceived as wrong but bullies – are just jealous of your highs, so they can knock you down; in different words, they see something great in you and want to take it away from you
