Teamwork. Watching great teams achieve is wonderful. Being part of one — even better. The sweet, salty rush of being part of a supportive, dynamic — and winning — entity. Everyone knows what they need to do — and does it well. Selflessness; each person operating in the moment and for the cause.

I’m sitting in an apartment in Tasmania’s Wrest Point Casino. Overlooking the water my family and I watch the seagulls hover in front of my apartment window. We had dinner downstairs in the bistro, having enjoyed a great meal together.

What made the meal special? We watched amazing teamwork between the front and back of house staff. Did this amazing teamwork give each meal extra pep? I think so.

The open kitchen allowed us to see the busy staff inside. It was clear who the leaders in the kitchen were. Each staff member looked engaged and aware. Plenty of customers kept the team busy, and the whole place was humming.
