-Let’s talk about the first word, “Search Engine” is actually a software system that is designed to carry out web searches. Since there are thousands of websites online and this makes so much data which is stored in the system. Then there was a requirement for a software system that would search stored data when users need information about something.
This entire software system is called SEO.
-Now, let’s talk about, “optimization”.
Optimization is the act of making the best or most effective use of a situation or resource.
Therefore, Search Engine Optimization is the process of making your website/web pages better for search engines, so that they can rank higher.
Now you need to make sure that you make use of SEO effectively. Because if you have some sort of information on your website then you would expect and wish for your website to be on the top of the list and ranked #1 when something is searched related to the information on your website.
Do we optimize search engines?
Since the search engine is a software which is a very secure network and came into existence after a lot of hard work. For instance, can we jump into the back end of the Google search engine and change the codes and do some coding stuff and cause it to rank our website? No, of course not, we can’t do that but what we can do is use our own website accordingly to make it rank in Google.
This means writing content accordingly so that your website can easily rank through the effective use of SEO.
How to write content accordingly?
This means using such keywords in your content that are in demand and usually written by users of Google in its search bar.
In short, In SEO, you do not optimize the Search Engine but you optimize your content to be recognized by a search engine.
For instance, if I have a flower shop and run a nursery, take care of plants, and sell them. I want my flower shop website to rank the most in my area to catch as many eyes as possible to grow my business.
This would not only help my business grow but my online business as well. Since I can run ads on my website and get paid for just impressions. Many people are running their blogs and ranking through the correct use of SEO and making a living online.
It is happening forever but you are never too late.
