equipping and activating a growth mindset and commensurate level of risk-taking to achieve breakthroughs

  • Building a business from the ground up is no small feat. In fact, it can feel incredibly daunting. But when you are passionate about an idea coming to fruition, you will stop at nothing to see it through. For a glimpse of the entrepreneurial spirit that is driving the founding of Volley Solutions, definitely read Bet on Yourself.
  • The sector known as “HR Tech” is massive, and even the sub-sector of “Talent Acquisition” (helping candidates find jobs) is sprawling. But there are still huge opportunities for innovation. Opolis was founded to create a curated marketplace connecting people and career opportunities through trusted advisors. The vision has evolved to address decentralized employment, built upon the “trust layer”. A general synopsis is provided in the post Blockchain in Talent Acquisition.
  • 2lemetry was founded in Denver circa 2011, and rapidly scaled up by an insanely talented team, and by raising angel investment and a subsequent venture capital round led by Salesforce Ventures. The adventure culminated in 2015 with an acquisition by Amazon Web Services (AWS). The team and product then retooled, in order to deliver a platform on par with the world-class AWS portfolio. For insights on that process, some brief insights are shared in On the introduction of AWS IoT.
