I doubt this is comprehensive, nor is it representative of the positives of the church either; it is reportage on the reports from the news. I didn’t see a compendium, so decided to write one. Part 1, 2, 3, and 4.

According to ModernDiplomacy, there was a criminal case dealing with the “non-recognition of schismatic sacraments” representative of Ukrainian law enforcement incompetence (Rakocevic, 2018).

This is the claim in relations to the issues of the church and the government. In the Zaporoszhsky region, the law enforcement investigated into the potential acts of inciting religious and ethnic hatred and enmity (Editorial Board UOJ, 2018).

Rakocevic (2018) argues for the lack of understanding as to the fundamental faith and values of the Orthodox Church, especially so in relation to the letter of the law. The Editorial Board of the UOJ considered the violation of the law by the Orthodox Church in a variety of proclamations.

One of which is the purported unity of the Slavic Orthodox peoples under the spiritual guidance of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC), inside of Ukraine mind you (Ibid.).
