The Humanist Association of Leadership, Equality and Accountability (HALEA) team is doing charitable work (collecting items in Owino market) to support refugees in Northern Uganda who came from Southern Sudan because of the war.

It was November when HALEA launched this project and our main aim was to collect things that can put a smile on at least 500 people’s faces in a refugee camp. So far the work of collecting items is going on well, thanks to all the people who have managed to donate to the refugees(market vendors , Britannia companies, Watford humanists) and Team HALEA for working hard to see that the work is done. The process was not that easy but the team has managed to reach out to several persons willing to donate and collected a lot of items, our store is full of goods and items meant for the refugees and we are happy with this achievement and we hope that the refugees will be happy too. However, items are still being collected, any person willing to donate is welcome.
