Welcome to our new Medium Publication!
Our Humanitarian AI meetup.com community launched a podcast series two years ago to broaden our efforts to give students, researchers and AI developers opportunities to interface with humanitarian actors and talk about humanitarian applications of artificial intelligence.
It’s been cool to see the series Humanitarian AI Today take shape and evolve from an idea tossed around over drinks at the Battery following a live meetup event that our San Francisco meetup group organized on the State of Humanitarian AI featuring speakers from Google, Microsoft and IBM’s AI for Good teams and from NetHope, ImpactMapper and MedShare to become something vital to the humanitarian and tech communities.
Lately we’ve been discussing how else we can help surface news and information on who is doing what to advance humanitarian applications of AI and leveraging platforms like Medium and Clubhouse came to mind. So with a modest start, check us out here too!
