Our NZ CEO Georgia Robertson flew across the ditch to pay the Oz team a little visit! Exciting things are brewing in the land of the long white clouds, so we thought we’d take this opportunity to get to know this Kiwi gal a bit more.

How has your experience been leading Humanitix NZ so far?

It has genuinely been the greatest, most invigorating (and most challenging) privilege of my life to date! I went into law because I wanted to help people and over time, realised I wasn’t doing that. Then suddenly this client landed on my desk called Humanitix and I was completely inspired. Who wouldn’t relish the opportunity to have a career that truly helps make the world a better place, with a bunch of other humans who are not only hilariously fun, but are commercially savvy and deeply care about helping lift other people up? I knew I had to be a part of it and that’s when we launched NZ.

What are you looking forward to the most in the next step of the Humanitix NZ journey?

In the immediate term, growing our NZ-based team! We have a very fluid team across NZ and Australia. A key next step for us is bringing more humans into the fold in NZ. Bigger picture, I’m so excited to be creating this impact for rangatahi in NZ and beyond that, demonstrating how much of a game-changer this new generation approach to charity is — everyone can be a philanthropist and make a difference, all you have to do is vote with your dollar!

Now to dig a little deeper… what’s your spirit animal?

Triceratops. A bit of an old soul, grounded, tough exterior but a big heart and begrudgingly sensitive underneath, thrives in the herd life surrounded with people I love, and knows how to stamp feet about the things that matter. If you want a less weird answer I’ll say a golden labrador.

When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?

Haha very recently, my best friend spent $700 buying tickets from Viagogo to an All Blacks game and came home fuming that she “hates every ticket platform except ours”. She didn’t realise it was a scam.

What’s your favorite song? Will you sing it for us?

I love to sing and dance — I’m actually a trained singer and pianist, but now it’s all just for fun. I couldn’t name an all time favourite song, but my current guilty pleasure is Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love” for an instant dose of uplifting happy feels in the morning!

A little birdie told me you have an exciting announcement to make… Go on!

We do! Humanitix has been raising the philanthropic funding to get all engines firing in NZ for the next few years! Excitingly, Humanitix NZ is now backed by the incredibly generous foundation at Seed The Change I He Kakano Hapai and very soon we will have a major funding announcement to share! So watch this space 😉
