“I have been at MICA since its start. I have seen this place transform from just a piece of land into a civilization. People who once were students here come to campus sometimes and are glad to see that Thakur Chacha is still there. It’s all about destiny. While they have seen the world around, I have seen the world that they were once a part of, form and grow.” ~ Thakur Chacha.

Thakur Chacha

Like the guardians of the galaxy, these people safeguard the ideas that nurture here at MICA. At the parking lot, there is a grey colored fan attached to an old tin shade, with holes through which raindrops drip onto the marble bench. That bench was made for Thakur Chacha, in the times of Face App challenges and Snapchat Filters, there are still some things that are at their most beautiful when left untouched.

Timeless glory

Even at an age of over 60 years, the zeal with which he used to turn pages of that yellow register to enter information was something the ones of Batch’96 still remember. The smile was warm enough to relieve the assignment submission deadline or competition rejection. His presence made the 24 months at MICA complete in every sense, constant support to every 180 capable ideas trying hard to survive.
