humble ventures, in partnership with Howard University’s Office of Research and Fiserv, is excited to announce the PitchHU 3.0 demo day event happening on Friday, September 29th, 2023 at 9AM. The event will be held in-person and streamed virtually. To RSVP, please visit PitchHU.com.

This on-campus celebration will showcase the outstanding founders from previous PitchHU cohorts, 3.0 cohort grant recipients and help get the work out on our recruiting efforts for the next PitchHU 4.0 cohort this October.

PitchHU is Howard’s incubator program focused on fostering innovation and equitable growth for diverse entrepreneurs. Over the past three cohorts, PitchHU has supported over 50 startup businesses spanning industries from biopharma to consumer products. Participants have come from not just the DC metro area, but all over the world including Mexico, Singapore, India, the United Kingdom and across the EU.

At the upcoming demo day, Howard will honor the PitchHU program and the trailblazing founders it has supported. Select participants will present their businesses and progress made during and after the program. The event will also feature a special announcement about new PitchHU partnerships to propel the program forward.

With the launch of PitchHU 4.0 recruiting, Howard is calling all early-stage diverse founders to apply for the upcoming cohort starting in October 2023. The cohort is open to scalable businesses at the idea or early startup stage, not tied to any particular industry. PitchHU provides an intensive 6 week curriculum with hands-on support, mentorship and non-dilutive grant funding to participants.

According to the plans outlined for PitchHU’s future growth, the program aims to continue expanding its impact through new initiatives. This includes hosting two cohort programs per year, additional virtual and in-person community events, and more robust storytelling through content creation. PitchHU also plans to extend its hands-on support for participants through executive hours focused on business development, sales and partnerships.

The goal is to build an active community of investors, partners and founders that can collaborate to improve access to customers, capital and other resources entrepreneurs need to thrive. With the successful completion of 3 cohorts so far, PitchHU has demonstrated its ability to empower diverse founders and inject innovation into industries that need it most. The upcoming demo day and 4.0 cohort promise to only build on this momentum.

For those interested in learning more about PitchHU or applying for the 4.0 cohort this fall, visit PitchHU.com. The September 29th on-campus demo day is open to all who want to join Howard in celebrating entrepreneurship and diversity in business. PitchHU continues to be a catalyst for change, turning founders’ ideas into tangible businesses and making a difference in communities near and far.
