Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is reportedly working 19-hour days amid the coronavirus crisis. The U.S. coronavirus point man has said running outside is not only safe, but it’s also healthy. Although there are plenty of health benefits to running in nature, there is still the risk of spreading or catching the virus. Simulation research shows COVID-19 can spread farther by those exercising outdoors. Researchers in Belgium and the Netherlands say droplets will stay behind in the air, and if they don’t get the time to settle down, the other person will simply walk through a dense cloud of droplets.
