Jeopardy! Champion Austin Rogers & Sporcle.com are Bringing Together a Unique Blend of Music, Entertainment, and Cash Prizes to Trivia Audiences Around the World
At humble we believe in the power of programming to bring people together. We learned that these past few years of distributed work and Zoom-based activities has drawbacks and advantages. For us, Zoom is an opportunity to create interactive television-like experiences and break the 4th wall (or 5th, depending where you are in the Matrix) of observing and participating virtually and in-person. We have been working with a great entrepreneur in AUSTIN ROGERS to break through the multiple dimensions of trivia, through his irreverent and totally unique trivia show, “Austin Rogers Trivia Night (with Austin Rogers)”.
In 2017, Austin delighted Jeopardy! fans with his 12-game winning streak. Austin has been featured on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, CBS Mornings, Good Morning America, and The Late Late Show With James Corden. Austin’s Book “The Ultimate Book of Pub Trivia by the Smartest Guy in the Bar” is available now (Workman Publishing).
On May 4th, 2022, humble and Team Austin flew to Los Angeles to the infamous Jeopardy-champ hangout, O‘Brien’s Pub, where Austin was on the last leg of his successful book tour, supporting his freshman book release. In lieu of O’Brien’s standing regular Wednesday night “O’Brien’s Pub Quiz”, Team Austin brought the full regalia — a subversive and fast paced trivia entertainment showcase, including comedy and hip hop performances, as well as giveaways from Ocean Beach, CA based Skrewball, a peanut butter flavored whiskey that is taking Fireball by storm (so good). All of the “May the Fourth Be With You” festivities were sponsored and presented by trivia powerhouse, Sporcle.

Sporcle and Team Austin corralled 6 prior Jeopardy! winners to attend and participate in the O’Brien’s showcase, including Buzzy Cohen, now host of ABC’s “The Chase”.
We were lucky enough to have special guests BLACKILLAC in the house, where they freestyled based on the questions and answers and commentary from the show, as well as the online and in-person crowd. Blackillac was voted Austin Music Awards “Best Hip Hop / Rap 2020,” and the southern duo has been buzzing in the south for the past few years. Rappers ZEALE and Phranchyze came together in late 2018 under the guidance and production of multiple Grammy winner Gary Clark Jr., and continue to tour with him today.
Stand up comedy from Actor / Comedian, Erica Rhodes, added laughs to Austin’s unique “late night” format. Erica is a gifted actress, writer and stand up comedian who has been performing on A Prairie Home Companion since the age of 10 and appeared in several movies and TV shows, including Plague Town, 1,000 Ways to Die, and The Consultants. She has also guest starred on New Girl, @midnight with Chris Hardwick, and Modern Family. She competed in the reality television comedy competition series Bring the Funny.
Sporcle sponsored Austin’s 60-minute trivia and entertainment extravaganza in which patrons both in-person at O’Brien’s and playing alongside the terrestrial audience in the Zoom, competed for $200 in prizes and tickets to SporcleCon.
The competition included the Jeopardy! winners, but was for everyone. The questions were fast. The answers were furious! Fun was had by all and there is so much more to come! TMZ stopped by to talk to Austin about his book tour, and to discuss the current amazing streak of contestants winning multiple games — only in Los Angeles (or is it Austin Rogers, “…bartender from New York”, who in 2017 literally broke Jeopardy forever).

Sporcle is again partnering with Austin Rogers Trivia Night to put together a 3-week tournament with a 3-pack of shows starting June 15th, June 22nd and concluding June 29th.
