In August, I and 120+ judges ventured to Stadia Ventures in St. Louis to hear 10 pitches from some of the most promising sports tech startups in the country. Stadia Ventures is an immersive accelerator investing up to $100K in startups tied to a $10M fund. After two long days, we provided Stadia Ventures with a great deal of feedback to consider about these 10 potential investments.

After weeks of evaluation and negotiation, Stadia Ventures has finally selected their Fall 2017 Cohort. View more information on the three startups below:

Reely (Santa Monica, CA) — Cutting edge platform that watches sports like a human and uses computer vision and deep learning AI to detect the best highlight plays. Their clients include Major League Lacrosse, Sky Sports, EverSport Media, Yokal Sports and RMN Wrestling.

RockDaisy (New York City, NY) — Analytics solution / data visualization platform for front office staff, coaches and scouts, built by former senior technologists at the NFL. Their clients include the National Football League, NFL teams and the NYC Police Department.

Upgraded (San Francisco, CA) — Ticketing solution that adds significant value to all live event verticals, and is one of the first consumer applications of blockchain helping to eliminate fraud and control the secondary market. Their clients include the Anaheim Angels, Atlanta Hawks, and The Dream Bowl.

St. Louis is doing great things for entrepreneurs and Stadia Ventures is leading the way. It was a pleasure partaking in this decision process for Stadia Ventures and I’m looking forward to following the acceleration of these three startups.
