Disney+ is a subscription video-on-demand streaming service owned and operated by the Direct-to-Consumer & International subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings commended Disney’s flagship streaming product in Netflix’s Q1 earnings interview. Hastings praised Disney, which has acquired 50 million Disney+ subscribers, saying, “Over 20 years of watching different businesses — incumbents like Blockbuster and Walmart and all these companies — I’ve never seen such a good execution of the incumbent learning the new way and mastering it.”
