Make sure you’re using clean, pesticide and chemical-free CBD strains, CBD is non-psychoactive unlike THC. You can cut the recipe down based on how much shake and hash you have.

You’ll also need: a cheesecloth, a metal strainer and at least 3 days. Optional: A wine press

  1. Layer shake, hash and shake in the crockpot.
  2. Add 4 cups of glycerin.
  3. Turn the slow cooker to low for a few hours.
  4. Stir a few times to make sure the shake is mixed with the glycerine. The shake will shrink as it warms up so stir a few times.
  5. Then, I turn it to warm and let it sit for 3 days — turn off when unattended. Or let the mixture steep without heat.
  6. Extract it out. I use a fine wine press.
  7. Pour. I put cheesecloth into a metal strainer that fits the mouth of the mason jar.

When I first started, I read up on extracting and people were hand squeezing through the cheesecloth, but the glycerine is very thick and unless it is very hot, it takes forever to strain and you lose a lot of product. If you use a wine press, you will recover almost the full two pints.
