Watch This Man v Grizzly Movie While You Wait For ‘Cocaine Bear’
Elizabeth Banks’ new thriller comes out in 2020. Until then…
It was announced this past week that Elizabeth Banks will direct a movie called Cocaine Bear, a thriller based on a true story. Yeah. It’s hard to believe it, but in 1985 a drug smuggler ditched 70 pounds from a plane into the wilds of Georgia. That blow was then discovered by a bear.
I hope everything works out for Cocaine Bear, but I’m not getting my hopes up. I am excited to see this movie, but I will have to wait until 2022.
Until then, I’m probably going to watch The Edge, an unbearably macho movie about two men fighting a bear that is chock full of Mamet’s taut trademark chitter-chatter, words wearing brass knuckles.
In The Edge, Anthony Hopkins plays a brilliant multi-millionaire cuckold whose plane crash lands in the Alaskan wilderness with Alec Baldwin, the swaggering young hotshot photographer who is having an affair with Hopkins’ character’s model wife. To survive the elements and a bear crazy for man meat, the two must learn to trust the other. Luckily, Hopkin’s brains save the day more than once.
