Greetings, #HungryFans!

Starting Monday, I will be featuring a multi-part series on tennis champion, Victoria (Vika) Azarenka, written by my friend Kurt Brungardt. Kurt, who also writes for Tennis Magazine, has spent months shadowing Vika in her campaign to return to #1 in Womens Tennis. This series, entitled The Evolution of Vika, will give you behind-the-scenes look at her life, her training, and her evolution as a player as we head into the clay court season.

Here’s a little intro to get you started. Please be sure to come back Monday to read Part I. I will be posting the remainder of the series every few days.

“It’s your commitment to training in the off-season that helps you overcome challenges and stay confident during the season.”

-Victoria Azarenka

With highly publicized changes to Azarenka’s team, a new coach and hitting partner, other key team members — a renown physiotherapist and osteopath, a new Hall of Fame strength coach, and a cutting edge sports scientist — have made an impact on the Vika’s biggest challenge: staying injury free. “The Evolution of Vika” takes an inside look at her off-season preparation and her 2015 start, as the first phase of the year comes to an end and the clay court season approaches.
