Magic Mushrooms for a Mad, Mad March
Who knew game day snacking could be so much fun? This recipe is an easy one to set out and let your friends nosh on as you cheer on your team on any given day of March Madness basketball. Making this mushroom appetizer is literally a one-step process (so easy!) but the fruits of your labor are like magic in your mouth. Plus, these ‘shrooms will look and taste like you worked so much harder than you did to make them. So now you’re a gourmand genius in your friends’ eyes! Hurrah! Now, let’s just hope your team wins so that it’s truly a magical evening…
Magic Mushrooms
Recipe by Addie of Addie’s Confetti Kitchen
1 cup balsamic vinegar
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup onion, finely diced
5 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tsp sugar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
½ cup canola oil
20 button mushrooms, 2 small containers, washed
Directions
Combine all marinade ingredients in a bowl. Add in mushrooms. Allow to sit and soak it all up for at least 6 hours. Serve with toothpicks!
