Tailgating, roaring fans, top players, and rivalry are all crucial parts of a great NFL game. So is the food. Stadium fare nowadays consists of much more than just hot dogs in warmers. Commissaries all across the country are upping their game and appealing to the foodie sports fans out there with these mouthwatering choices (caveat: health nut). Enjoy these picks:

10. Garlic Fries at San Francisco 49ers Candlestick Park:
You can tell how good a menu item is by how many people are in line waiting for it. Such is the case with garlic fries, one of the simplest food items available at most NFL stadiums. New York does garlic fries well but these San Francisco fries are a tough competitor. Fries are seasoned with minced garlic and chopped parsley. Delicious.

9. Victory Knot Pretzel, Detroit Lions Ford Field:
A cleverly-named supersized snack that’s definitely meant for sharing. Enjoy this heavenly creation of dough and salt that comes in its own pizza box. Three dips are also included in this adventurous undertaking: chipotle honey mustard, sweet cinnamon cream, and beer cheese.

8. Capicola & Cheese Sandwich at Pittsburgh Steelers Heinz Stadium:
This list wouldn’t be complete without a pick from the Primanti Bros. Fresh Italian bread holds the savory capicola, provolone cheese, fries, coleslaw and tomatoes together.

7. B Spot Fat Doug Burger at Cleveland Browns Stadium:
This is essentially a deluxe slider. Topped with pastrami, cole slaw, swiss cheese and ‘stadium’ mustard, this burger just melts in your mouth. With the addition of 3 celebrity chefs opening up food stands at the Cleveland stadium, those Browns fans are a well-fed bunch.

6. Sawyer’s Street Frites at Cleveland Browns Stadium:
A sweeter Cleveland version of poutine, a French-Canadian classic. Pommes frites are topped with mozzarella cheese curd and brown gravy. This is one of two Browns stadium items to make the list. Those Browns fans are a well-fed bunch.

5. Signature Brisket Sandwich at Giants MetLife Stadium:
Brisket sandwiches are an absolute must at every stadium. Porter-raised beef brisket topped with cheddar cheese, whole grain mustard, and fried onions on a pretzel roll. Also a Food Network creation, you can get this mouthwatering sandwich at the Giant’s MetLife Stadium.

4. Crab Cake Sandwich at Baltimore Ravens M&T Bank Stadium:
When you’re in Maryland, crab cakes are a must. When you’re at a Ravens game, crab cake sandwiches must be consumed. Take part in a local delicacy with the variety of crab cake entrees served at the Ravens M&T Bank Stadium.

3. S’pacific Salmon BLT at Seattle Seahawks CenturyLink Field:
This tasty sandwich just oozes with Seattle Seahawks spirit. A filet of wild Alaska sockeye salmon is topped with applewood smoked bacon, lettuce and tomato. It’s a savory sandwich to chow down on before singing the 12th man song.

2. Green Chili Kobe Burger at Dallas Cowboys Stadium:
This burger embodies the best of the southwest and a true Texas touch. Kobe beef, the top notch beef that cows get massaged for, is the main reason why you should try this flavorful culinary creation. Not exactly as pictured, but you get the idea.

1. Buffalo Mac and Cheese at 6 NFL Stadiums:
Yes, you can eat pasta at an NFL game! One of the exclusive Food Network creations now being served at 6 NFL stadiums, this is your traditional mac and cheese made topped with bread crumbs and buffalo chicken. This was also last week’s Friday Tailgate Pick on Facebook. Hands down, this is one of the tastiest things you’ll see at an NFL stadium.

What would you eat?
