Since Thailand is very vegan-friendly, there are many vegan meat substitutes that have become a part of Thai cuisine and are easily available everywhere.

During the ten-day vegan festival and in traditional vegetarian restaurants, you can find a variety of vegan meat alternatives made with natural ingredients like taro, tofu, wheat gluten and mushrooms.

One of my favorite vegan meat alternatives is Thai vegan chicken drumsticks. It has a chewy texture on the inside, is nice and crispy on the outside, and is packed with umami flavor.
