HPX TAYCAN CHAIN TESTNET LAUNCHING
The HUPAYX Team is excited to announce the launch of our testnet, the Taycan chain.
TAYCAN’s mainnet launch remains scheduled yet, but it will demonstrate some of the functions to reveal the testnet to identify the improvement.
HPX Testnet Disclosure Date: 2022–03–14 11a.m. (KST)
The HPX testnet provides an openly available test environment for the Taycan chain network for HPX’s holders, validators, and HPX-based developers communities. In addition, users can experience the functions provided by the Taycan website in advance.
HPX testnet, which shares the same characteristics as the Taycan chain, will be released in the future. It supports the creation of more diverse and flexible dApps than the existing mainnet so that you can use them through the testnet. In addition, users can create their test wallets and addresses on the testnet and set up and transfer testnet funds (HPX). Furthermore, people can experience the confirmation and performance of the basic blockchain transfer function. In addition, it is possible to develop and test-run HPX testnet-based DApps without using tangible assets, thereby preventing wastage of resources. Above all, users can test DApps and smart contracts in the same environment as HPX’s Taycan chain to experience and utilize the Taycan mainnet faster than others who don’t participate.
Existing Shuffle or Booster Wallets DO NOT yet support the HPX testnet. HPX testnet supports MetaMask wallet. MetaMask is the most widely used personal wallet, allowing you to quickly and easily access and use the HPX testnet.
Install MetaMask extension in Google Chrome or Brave browser.

After installation, run MetaMask, click the “Create a Wallet” button to create a new wallet, and enter the password to finish creating a new wallet. Like Shuffle Wallet, MetaMask is a P2P wallet, so you should save the Backup Phrase safe and well.
As the above image shows, click the current mainnet in MetaMask, then click “Add Network” from the menu, and enter the following info.
Network Name: HPX Testnet
New RPC URL: https://test-taycan.hupayx.io (if you use http://test-taycan.hupayx.io:8545 and succeed, that’s fine. No need to change.)
Chain ID: 2022
Currency Symbol: HPX
Block Explorer URL: http://evmscan-test.hupayx.io/
NOTICE
Adding HUPAYX testnet in Metamask is only available on PC now. Mobile App is NOT supported.
Before the release of the mainnet, it will be revised and applied to the official launch of the mainnet as a test process.
Based on the above RPC and Chain ID, DApp developers can access the HPX Testnet using their preferred framework, such as Truffle, Hard Hat, or Remix, to record their smart contracts and test DApps.
HPX’s Taycan chain has both Cosmos SDK-based characteristics and Ethereum characteristics. Therefore, HPX Testnet provides two block scanners to check both characteristics.

You can check the hash and staking status based on cosmos. You can also check the chain parameters that are determined by governance.
You can check Ethereum-compatible hashes and smart contracts.
Through these two block scanners, you can check the transactions, smart contracts, and staking status of HPX Testnet and review the test results on the chain.
To send coins to HPX Testnet or generate smart contracts, you need to pay HPX as the blockchain fee. To experience the testnet, you need to get some test HPX from the faucet.

Before the Taycan mainnet launch, we have prepared benefits for all developers and users who use the testnet to contribute to the activation of the testnet and to anticipate possible situations in advance.
Notice
When making a transaction on the testnet, be sure to check the connected network. Assets used to release to other mainnet rather than HUPAYX testnet (transaction fees, etc.) will not be recovered and returned, and there is no way for HPX to handle them.
