Whether you’re inviting your audience to an event, rallying volunteers for a cause, or reaching out to supporters to fundraise, the ability to share links via Hustle messages is important to give your audience the additional information they need to take action.

That’s why we’re excited to launch our latest feature update: Link Tracking! You can now track clicks on links that you share via Hustle and get valuable data on which users are engaging with the links you’re sharing.

Read on to learn how to use Link Tracking in four easy steps:

1. Find the “Share a Link” Goal within Hustle and enter your link in the goal creation form. Check the “Track clicks on this link” box and Hustle will automatically shorten the link to keep your messages short and concise.

2. Choose the most appropriate shortened domain from our list of use-case specific domains.

We think these domains are great for the following use case examples:

  • attend.events: for RSVP links or volunteering sign-ups
  • donates.us: for links to fundraising pages
  • membershp.co: for links to membership sign-up and renewal pages
  • sms.gives: for links to fundraising pages

You’ll get a preview of what links in your messages will look like once you’ve selected a domain.

3. As you move on to create your script, make sure to include the <Link> variable by using the Variables selector so that your link is included in your messages!

4. Start sending messages! As your move through your workflow and your audience clicks the link, we’ll track those clicks on the goal stats page. Compare the number of clicks to the number of messages to understand your click through rate. Track these stats campaign by campaign to set a baseline for your organization’s results. Some of our beta clients saw a 6% click through rate on donation links.

Coming Soon!

Soon we’ll be adding more shortened link domains son that better match your use case including memberships and events. Stay tuned!
