Hustle Achieves SOC2 Type II Compliance
Today, I’m excited to announce that Hustle has achieved SOC2 Type II compliance. We’re in an age where data security is on the top of everyone’s mind, and accordingly Hustle has been investing in cybersecurity and data protection for years. Now, Hustle is the first and only peer-to-peer messaging platform that demonstrates enterprise-grade security and compliance.
SOC2 is considered the “gold standard” for security compliance in software companies. It is an internationally-recognized framework for auditing a company’s controls, processes and operational effectiveness. Our auditors worked with us over the course of three months to thoroughly evaluate our information security, site availability, software development, HR and legal practices.
The audit results were fantastic: we passed our audit with flying colors! Our 2018 SOC2 report is a “clean report,” meaning no exceptions or issues relating to compliance were noted by the auditors. This is especially difficult for organizations to achieve in their first audit. We’re thrilled to have essentially received an A+ on our first review.
Hustle began investing in cybersecurity at an early stage, starting a year before our Series A funding came in. Early on, we were focused on achieving world-class availability, security and privacy controls. The result is that now we have achieved a degree of security and operational maturity seen in very few software-as-a-service companies. We’ve joined an exclusive club of less than 1% of SaaS vendors who have achieved SOC2 Type II compliance attestation.
Hustle is also now a Cloud Security Alliance STAR Registered Solution Provider; joining the ranks of large, mature companies like Amazon, Google and Slack in the STAR registry.
