There are times when transferring a relationship in Hustle from one agent to another is necessary. For example, maybe a new agent has joined the team and is now taking responsibility for a turf, or maybe you need to start a new campaign with more of your organizers involved. Whatever the case may be, Hustle can help!

Introducing new relationships to your current contacts is common for successful campaigns but it definitely helps to be prepared. This blog will give you a quick overview of what you need to know about Agent — Contact relationships in Hustle and how to transfer them over.

Act as the bridge. As an admin, you can help facilitate this transfer by either having the previous organizer introduce the new one, having the new organizer introduce themselves, or doing both. It can be as easy as a quick text in a goal that includes the new or old Agent’s name and a brief introduction! You can even use custom fields in Hustle if you’ll be introducing more than one relationship!

Set yourself up. Before you reassign your contacts to the new agents, take a moment to think about how you want the intro to take place. There are a few different ways to set this goal up and target for the reassigned contacts.

In general, the more you know about how your contacts were split up the first time, the easier it will be to target them when you reassign them. The two easiest ways to do a good intro are —

  1. Use the existing and new contacts fields in the script creator. This helps you tailor your message to be different for newly reassigned contacts and the contacts you’ve already built a relationship with. For the new contact script you can have a longer introduction and in your existing you can hop right into the conversation, exactly where you left off!
  2. Target a goal specifically for the newly assigned contacts, and send them an introductory message. If your newly assigned contacts have a unique custom field or a tag, you can target those folks during goal creation so that your introduction is created just for them!

Communicate your intentions. If your supporters feel like you care about the relationship they have with your organization and that you are taking the time to reach out to them to introduce new relationships, you have a better chance of engaging them over time!

When in doubt, contact your CSM. Always feel free to reach out to your CSM for guidance on tips and strategy for reassigning agents and transferring relationships. We’re here to make it easier for you to maintain the relationships you’ve worked so hard to build!
