“In FF14 we build connections” Interview with A Fanvideo Creator, Zoe Lezi
Fanart, fanfiction, fanvideo creators use their own methods to express their love for FF14 in players’ community. Yesterday a fanvideo creator, Zoe Lezi, shared her stories in FF14 and the process of editing videos.
“Well, my friends do so well in digital painting that I just need to admire their works.” Zoe laughed when asked about the reason why she started to do fanvideos, “So I think why not make some videos?”
In the path of creating fanvideos, she gradually made more friends sharing similar interests and built her team to discuss the scripts, storyboards and shootings together. They also became close friends in reality. Zoe met them in Fan Festivals held by FF14 officially and had great memories with them.
“In FF14 we build connections both online and offline.” Zoe is pretty happy when talking about friends, “Yesterday the official notification really shocked me because some of them are divided into another data center, and there are also many players complaining about this action will destroy their social relations in this game.”
Having experienced the disaster of combining servers 4 years ago, Zoe quite understood this kind of emotions, “The action is indeed terrible, but I still think it may diminish small social circle inside the game, but never cut off connections between us.”
