Hydra Bridge Gets a New User Interface!
We are happy to announce that the new Hydra Bridge UI has been pushed live!
Some of you may have spotted it earlier (for example while bridging over EVED tokens), but after some post-deployment polishing we are now ready to officially announce the new UI being live!
In this article we will take a closer look into the new design and what new features came with it.
⭐️ Upgraded to a more Modern Look
The most notable difference is the completely reworked appearance and design of the bridge interface.
We are adding a before/after comparison below, where you will clearly spot the difference in quality and overall feel.
The welcome message at the top adds a friendly touch, with the Hydra heads left and right rounding up the entrance-vibe.
⚡️ Simplified Asset Selection
Previously if you wanted to bridge an asset such as DAI, you had to make two selections in the interface:
- Selecting ERC20
- Then selecting DAI
We realized that having this 2-step selection adds no value since the only non-ERC20 asset will always be ETH itself. Instead, we placed ETH at the top of the list and removed the pre-selection step.
👁 Network Detection
A new feature that was introduced was to detect whether the correct network is selected on MetaMask. This helps prevent cases where users waste time and can’t find their assets due to the wrong chain being selected.
When the site detects a non-Ethereum network selected, it will immediately alert the user. Same is also true for Ethereum testnet being selected.
✅ Automatic Entry of Correct Address
Another feature we are introducing is the automatic selection of the receiving address (to which the bridged assets arrive to).
To use this feature, simply connect your MetaMask (or Hydra Extension Wallet, depending on which way you bridge). Once connected, you will see the button “Use my Hydra address” showing up.
The interface will automatically fetch your address from the extension and enter it into the field:
This way you essentially eliminate the risk of entering a wrong address by mistake.
🔎 New Section for Audits
For transparency purposes, we have introduced a new section to the bridge, where security audits are linked in a clean overview.
Feel free to browse the section if you want to go through them.
In addition, we have also added a link to the top right corner, where users can easily access the Hydra DEX from.
