New Partnership | MakerDAO
Hydro is very excited to announce its partnership with MakerDAO this week. Its stablecoin — Dai — is now trading on DDEX, offered paired with ETH. The partnership with MakerDAO and the integration of DAI is a major milestone for Hydro Protocol in our mission to bring hybrid decentralized exchanges to more mainstream users.
Product & Development
DDEX, the first Hydro Protocol based 0x Relayer, has worked very hard on many improvements over the past week:
- Designed DDEX Loading Page
- Will add token contract address in navigation Bar in next version of DDEX trading interface
- Will launch Korean trade interface
- Will add a wallet login step to start trading
Decentralized Data
Below are some statistics on historical decentralized exchange transaction numbers:
1. DDEX increases market share on DEX Tracker & remains #2 on Etherscan’s DEX tracker
Moving onto a weekly analysis of trading volume, specifically for 0x relayers:
In the past week on DDEX, we have seen increases in the following user-based statistics:
- Total number of logged in accounts: +6.8%
- Approve/WRAP/Unwrap transactions: +6.6%
- Buy/Sell transactions: +9.6%
- Accounts with 1st transaction: +5.8%
- Accounts with 1st Wrap ETH: +6.4%

Hydro’s product designer Josh gave a keynote speech about UI/UX challenges in the blockchain industry, how DDEX and Hydro Protocol aim to solve these challenges, and some Hydro Protocol future plans at ETH Buenos Aires last weekend.

Upcoming Events
Beijing | 2018 Ethereum Technolgy and Application Conference
CEO of Hydro Protocol, Tianfang Li, is invited to give a talk on “Peer-to-peer Trading Agreement — How to Empower 100 DAPP Trading Platforms” at 2018 Ethereum Technology and Application Conference. We are very excited to present at the largest developer community in China While Vitalik Buterin, founder of ethereum, will also attend and give a talk in a panel at the same event!
The Conference will cover topics including trends of Ethereum technology, Ethereum ecology, Ethereum community & economy. It will also be a great way for us to connect more closely with the large and vibrant Chinese developer community.
Meet our new member!
We are very happy to have Ge Gong joinning the development team as our new front end developer. Prior to Hydro, Gong was a fullstack developer working at creatingEV for three years. After a short period working on building ETHOTC.io, an ethereum based exchange, we finally get him in Hydro!
