Today we are excited to announce our strategic partnership with Chainlink, an oracle network that connects smart contracts to data, events, and payments from the real world!
In the past few weeks, Andy has been working hard to ensure we can seamlessly integrate Chainlink’s technology. Ultimately, we found it to be a great match, as we plan to utilize Chainlink to enable smart contracts to act on messages sent from the Hydro API. This will allow users to secure funds inside of a smart contract with Hydro 2FA, thus adding a second layer of authentication to blockchain transfers beyond the control of a private key.
Aside from design and UI/UX, one of the leading challenges in the blockchain industry we’ve found preventing mainstream usage is the ability to communicate natively between smart contracts and external systems. Partnering with Chainlink gives us the opportunity to help lower those barriers and enrich the blockchain space.
Here’s more about Chainlink:
Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network that enables smart contracts to securely access off-chain data feeds, web APIs, and traditional bank payments. Chainlink is consistently selected as one of the top blockchain technologies by leading independent research firms such as Gartner. It is well known for providing highly secure and reliable oracles to both large enterprises (SWIFT) and leading smart contract development teams.
This partnership is part of our continued effort to build meaningful product integrations with cutting-edge technologies! Stay tuned for more announcements!
