The Hydrostandart team was ahead of the curve in foreseeing how in the next few years the economy will change along with the underlying financial system. Cash and electronic money we are using today will not be sufficient for the digital economy that is just around the bend.

We have decided to create a decentralized economic system and introduce a digital currency of a new kind. Our ecosystem will span the entire world. We have what it takes to make it viable:

  • A high-liquidity asset underpinning the entire system — hydrogen;
  • AI and blockchain serving the technical side of the project;
  • A vision where every person on the planet is given an opportunity to earn money;
  • Scalability.

Today, when our project is picking up the pace on the path to completion, we see that the European Union is just beginning to consider issuing a digital currency and, ultimately, their own system. The announcement came from a Vice-President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis: “a central bank digital currency could ensure that citizens remain able to use central bank money even if cash is eventually no longer used”. He has also said that the EU was planning to launch a unified digital payment system by the end of 2021.

Will these plans come to fruition — time will tell.
