Our technology is our key differentiator. It is developed by an outstanding team of technologists in our product, system engineering and data science squads in Berlin and Warsaw. Our diverse 20 people tech team hails from 10 different countries and has a wide range of professional and academic backgrounds in engineering and mathematics.
Uli is co-founder and managing director of Hypatos. Previously he worked as management consultant at McKinsey & Company in Berlin and Palo Alto; he was managing director of Rocket Internet SE in the US; and led the early stage corporate venturing initiatives of ProSiebenSat1 Media SE. He holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University St. Gallen, Switzerland and earned a doctorate in Finance from the Technical University of Darmstadt.
Janosch is co-founder and managing director of Hypatos. He has a background in finance at Deutsche Bank, where he filled multiple positions, lastly as Vice President Group Strategy & Planning. He was Managing Director and CFO of ProSiebenSat1 Media SE’s EPIC Companies and gained operational finance expertise as Global Operational CFO at Rocket Internet SE. Janosch earned his degree in Business Administration at the University St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Cem is Hypatos’ CCO leading its commercial growth. Prior to joining Hypatos, he advised enterprises on their tech strategy at McKinsey & Company and Solon Strategy. Cem founded the AI industry analyst, AIMultiple, and regularly serves as a panelist at international conferences on AI.
He graduated from Bogazici University as a computer engineer and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.
He Zhang is VP machine learning of Hypatos. Previously he was head of data science at Lesara GmbH, and data scientist at HelloFresh SE. He has a background as theoretical physicist at Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik (Heidelberg), and KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm). He holds a PhD degree in theoretical physics from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
