Welcome to Hype Satellite
This publication was brought to life to expose the potential and capabilities of Tumult Hype to a broader audience. Most of the information and tutorials around Tumult Hype are currently found and exchanged only on the companies forums by dedicated users.
So, what is Hype?
Hype is a macOS exclusive software package aimed at WYSIWYG animation for the web. Given this premise the creators and creatives using Hype are Apple user but the creations made are HTML5 and hence work cross platform.
Hype targets an audience of visual creators that love to use the benefits of graphical user interfaces (GUI) while pertaining the capabilities of the modern web.
What are the goals of this publication?
This publication was created to showcase the potential of Hype. It also is a hub to surface articles, ideas and people found on the Hype forums to a broader audience. This includes the following types of content:
- Tutorials on using the default Hype application
- Articles about extending Hype beyond it’s built in capabilities
- Ways Hype augments designers to tackle task usually reserved for developers
- Examples of using Hype with other applications (like iBooks or Blocs)
- Introductions to projects, extensions and helper around Tumult Hype
Why is this publication named Hype Satellite?
Tumult inc., the company behind Hype named its occasional newsletter
Hype Universe so the idea was to communicate that we live in the said universe and this publication relays information across it. Hence, the name was born: Hype Satellite.
