Four Recent NEAR NFT Projects Giving to Charity

Many of the artists in our NEAR NFT community are giving back to their community with charitable work funded by their NFT sales. As a young artist experiencing success it is exciting and empowering to be able to donate funds, and create charitable projects. The NEAR ecosystem community in general is very altruistic and generous, and the NFT community reflects this spirit of giving through many NFT projects. HypeDAO is following the work of these projects as it is publicized, but has not vetted any specific project. We trust that the receipts, photos, and reports they post publicly are accurate.

Nifty Minks

After the tremendous success of Near Skull Monkeys, creator Blitzstein decided to create a charity project to give back to the community. 50% of total sales of Nifty Minks is donated to a scholarship fund in the Philippines, Makes Kids Smile. Read all about this project on Nifty Minks Paras.

Matchasaur by Karlalily

Matchasaur is a solo woman-led project by Karlalily that donates 30% of sales to different charities. In March 2022 this project raised 1.5 NEAR (770 Philippino pesos) for the production of ICommunicate, the magazine of Polytechnic University of the Philippines -Sta. Mesa, Manila. Currently, Matchasaur is working on the urgent need for relief efforts for Typhoon Agaton in the Philippines. Matchasaur’s Space Arcade collection will benefit Robredo People’s Council — Leyte, a volunteer organization associated with the Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo.

Nerd Fox Club

This up-and-coming NFT project benefits YOUnited, a youth environmental organization that one of the Nerd Fox Club team members currently volunteers with. Nerd Fox Club donates 20% of the collection revenue. Photos of events with Nerd Fox team members and YOUnited, details of the relationship, and donations are in the Nerd Fox Club discord server.

Dope Kiddo

Dope Kiddo is a project built to benefit orphans in the Philippines, and support their creative growth by providing art supplies and coloring books. The Dope Kiddo Twitter regularly posts photos of progress on this project and we can see the boxes of art supplies and sample printed coloring books. Read about their work on Paras.

NEAR Corgi Gang

NEAR Corgi Gang by Mido4bs is a project with charitable work on the roadmap. As the project grows it will be donating to organizations that help dogs in need.

These are just a few of the small NFT projects that are giving back to their communities. More projects and people are working in the NEAR ecosystem to benefit various causes and communities. HypeDAO hopes to continue following and highlighting these projects in the future.
