Hyperloop as Easy as 1,2,3

In 2013, Elon Musk released his initial blueprints of what he designed the hyperloop to look like and many companies took this initial blueprint in the hopes of approving upon it and making the hyperloop a reality. Many companies have been developing and researching what the hyperloop can look like in the future. Elon Musk explains in an interview with CNN that the hyperloop isn’t that complicated and he believes people may be over thinking the development process. Musk goes on and says that the hyperloop, “is just a tube with a hockey table”. After hearing how an engineer such as Musk talks about the hyperloop like its simple, there is a relatively good chance that we can see the hyperloop in our near future.

The hyperloop to the common person may seem confusing but based on Musk’s explanation of the system it’s clear that engineers should be able to develop the hyperloop relatively soon. Musk describes the hyperloop as a low pressure tube with a pod placed inside that runs using air bearings. There will be an air compressor on the front of the pod that takes the high pressure built up at the nose and pumps it throughout the air bearings causing the pod to move forward. This relatively simple explanation of the hyperloop is important because it shows that soon we may be taking a hyperloop pod from city to city.

The fact the hyperloop may be so close in the future is exciting because society will look completely different. One aspect of life that will never be the same is the world of business. People will be able to travel from city to city in short amounts of time allowing someone to go to work in San Francisco, leave in the middle of the day and make it to a meeting in Los Angeles later that same day. This will allow for production and overall business to improve greatly. Another example of the hyperloop being useful in the work force is with the hyperloop in society someone can live in New York City and work in Washigton D.C.. Having the hyperloop present in society will cause the economy to boom.
