Hyperion launched a new version of Titan wallet, which improves the wallet’s security level and enables wallet users to access decentralized applications with public key. It’s a huge step to initiate the Hyperion economic model of Wallet + Map.
When opening the upgraded Titan, users will find a new UI design with more user-friendly security settings. Public key (wallet address) will work as ID code to represent each user, and allow them to access various dapps built on Titan while verifying the legitimacy of transactions for each service request.
This article will help you understand the logic behind the new Titan wallet.
With the pervasiveness of portable devices and more easily accessible network, digital payment such as apple pay or pay-pal saves our time from daily commute to online shopping and hotel-bookings, etc. But in the meantime, other consumers concern for potential security issues caused by fraudsters who steal money from digital account or privacy leakage by companies that secretly obtain and sell user privacy to third-party platforms. But Titan wallet has a solution here.
Titan wallet enables users to manage cross-chain crypto funds including HYN, BTC, ETH and USDT, as well as manage coin transactions and public/private key. Your private key will have to match with public key in order to legitimate the transaction and access these tokens.
You don’t actually store any cryptocurrency in your wallet, instead, you store the keys to access the tokens located on blockchain.
In addition, no central entity will be allowed to access or verify user privacy and transaction details. The ownership of wallet is yours as long as you keep seed phrase safe.
Increased Security level & User Experience
The upgraded Titan wallet has improved both the security level and user-experience of wallet password. As the main security of the wallet is protected by the seed phrase — a simplified version of private key, which will be used every time to log-in your wallet on a new device; while wallet password is equal to your ATM or Credit card password used to unlock wallet and activate transactions after logging-in. The new version requests a six-digit password.
Meanwhile, to enable a more convenient access to the wallet, on supported devices users now have the alternative option to unlock it with fingerprint or face recognition instead of entering PIN. With the new UI, users can check for more personalized wallet settings, including profile photo and name.
Titan wallet is much more than just a tool to access cryptocurrency — it is your entrance to explore the ecosystem. Public key enables you to access a full universe of decentralized map apps such as private location share, and HYN token circulate within the network to boost the overall ecosystem.
Private Location Share
As mentioned before, public key will be used to unlock decentralized map applications. Take private location share as an example. Previously, those who received the encrypted location just need to install Titan to reveal the map. However, the updated version requests the public key authorization to unlock the location share function. It enables a more private P2P location share between 2 users.
The new version is more highly privacy-protective, secure and multi-functional. Hyperion keeps improving Titan wallet against those criteria and uses it as a platform to link the token economic mechanism with the decentralized community, and boost the ecosystem with more dapps. Currently Hyperion team is also working on decentralized exchange function within Titan wallet, stay tuned…
