Blockchain is trending in the news again as 2019 rolls to the end of the first quarter. In 2017 the talk was around Bitcoin but moved to infrastructures that big business like American Express, Oracle and Amazon were building on. The introduction to smart contracts had started to make its way into mainstream.

Bitcoin and blockchain were in the news enough that even getting into an Uber many times ended up in a conversation about how to get Bitcoin. Uber drivers are always interested in what you do for a living. After all, most of them have come up with alternative ways to produce income in a new found ecosystem by using an app to drive people around for a profit. Meanwhile, they’ve also rented an extra room in their home via an AirBNB app. The idea they could make money with this thing called Bitcoin or build a business they could be in control of on blockchain is of great interest.

With that realization came the fact that explaining how to buy Bitcoin, any other digital currency or what blockchain is really requires a foundational overview. It is a new OS or operating system that stands alone, without the fees, censorship or requiring a third party to dole out the money you’ve earned or spent.

This is a much longer conversation than the time it takes to get from home to the airport or out to dinner with friends. There needed to be a way where people could understand in a use case manner (either in the form of new economies already in use, or by leading them in a gamified way), rather than going straight for how a smart contract is built on a blockchain.

Peerion Gamification

The person driving for Uber most likely does not know how the app was put together, but can fully navigate the “game” to find the exact location of the person who needs a ride, pick them up, drop them off and the entire financial transaction is done through that app. Peerion has built an ecosystem where people can use gameful interactions so anyone can become an entrepreneur, all within a habitat that educates them as to what this new system is (blockchain) while gamifying a peer to peer social ecommerce platform (digital currency or tokens).

The reference to Uber and how it became an ecosystem in itself makes sense in conversation with just about anybody these days. Applying how blockchain and digital currency or a tokenized economy needs to be explained in a way people can understand by using examples that make sense. Once this starts to take hold, mainstream adoption will continue to rise.

It was so important to Jeremy Klein, Founder of HyperionX and Peerion that when he went about building his team, he did it in a very different way than all other blockchain companies out there. Yes, he’s brought in top blockchain developers and built the technology with all the technical complexities every blockchain based infrastructure runs on, however he’s additionally gathered a team who is integrating a gameful design into a social media, ecommerce, advertising and content driven ecosystem allowing you to participate by creating and selling content in the Peerion Marketplace.

Your content can include anything from an image, to a video, to a course, or an article. You’ll also be rewarded for likes and comments within the decentralized platform. Your data will not be used without your consent nor will your content disappear due to censorship.

“Peerion, powered by HyperionX, is intended to be similar to a gaming environment, where we make economics and e-commerce fun and interactive. We want the ecosystem to be enjoyable, secure, and save people time and money.

Our platform is gamified, presenting a rather entertaining experience, while also providing the automation of menial tasks, making it very easy for peers to use. They can then connect with other peers at a higher level, as all the tech on the backend is handled for them.” ~Jeremy Klein

Gamification and E-Learning Team

Peerion’s most recent developments have brought two team members: Robert Mapstead, creator of Upskill Create and Jt Clough, founder of Learn Basic Blockchain. Both platforms are incorporated into the Peerion experience and you can consider them your real life Guides.

Robert has an extensive background working through companies like IBM and Clough comes from a marketing background where she found the easiest way to get people to understand this new operating system of blockchain and digital currency was to distill it down to basic concepts in course form. You can join Peerion’s Telegram to dip into the action on the courses with rewards for correct quiz answers and playing their tokenized Totem Dash game.

Confusion leads to non action. Developing bite size courses with quizzes where you can get rewarded on the very platform you are teaching encourages everyone to get involved, from the technically inclined to those who thrive in the gamer world, artists and content creators alike.

While having fun on Peerion, you will learn complex blockchain concepts and figure out how to navigate a new ecosystem in a gameful way. One that will be part of every big corporation in the very near future, so for once, you can be way ahead of the game.

Robert’s Upskill Create premise is that we all have goals and challenges we want to achieve. The problem with most courses is that they want to teach us just facts without challenging us to apply what we’ve learned.

We gamify courses through the simple application of game principles. Making course content fun will help you apply what you’ve learned and keep you fully engaged in order to understand the subject deeply.
