Modular expansion is arriving to Renzo and the EigenLayer restaking ecosystem. In collaboration with Everclear, the liquidity clearing layer for rollups, Hyperlane is scaling ezETH to more chains than ever with Permissionless Interoperability

Fast ezETH bridging is now live. Bridge now: renzo.hyperlane.xyz.

Using the Renzo Bridge

The Renzo Bridge will power fast ezETH transfers across the EVM rollup ecosystem. It is live on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Blast, BNB Chain, Linea, Mode, and Optimism. Withdrawal times are in moments, securely shortening the current 14-day native period.

Warp Routes, Hyperlane’s token bridge application, gained xERC20 support and were deployed on those chains to enable ezETH to bridge to these initial chains, and eventually across the entire Hyperlane network.

To use the renzo.hyperlane.xyz bridge, simply connect your wallet. When bridging between chains, Hyperlane offers 1-click bridging by having you pay for ETH gas upfront on your origin chain for your destination. Note that if it’s your first time using the bridge, you may have to attempt your transaction again after signing the initial approval with your wallet.

Why Hyperlane + How it Works

Messaging Layer for xERC20

ezETH is an xERC20 standard which allows token issuers flexibility to mint tokens via different mechanism, preventing fragmentation and improving sovereignty.

Hyperlane is a general message passing protocol, supporting various token standards including xERC20, HypERC20, Bridged USDC, and ERC-4626 Yield-Bearing Routes. It is the only interop protocol enabling rollup and app developers to permissionlessly deploy Hyperlane to any chain.

Permissionless scaling of Hyperlane uniquely enables the Renzo ecosystem to connect ezETH to more chains and more ecosystems, without needing to rely on any bridge team or centralized bottleneck.

Above the messaging layer, when launched, Everclear’s liquidity settlement layer will optimize for fast and inexpensive bridging transactions, with a chain abstracted interface.

Robust Security

Hyperlane’s open interoperability framework enables anyone to tailor their security boundaries using Interchain Security Modules (ISMs) and verifiable fraud proofs; this includes Proof of Authority, ZK, and Economic Security.

For the Renzo Bridge, validator sets across each of Hyperlane chain’s default ISM secure messaging — attesting the state of the origin chain to the destination. In addition, any transaction on the Renzo warp route contracts must be approved by both the default sets as well as 1/2 of Renzo and Everclear, adding additional application-specific security.

Modular Security for the Renzo Bridge will be accelerated by the upcoming Hyperlane AVS. Renzo’s delegated Operators will run Hyperlane validators on each of these chains, extending economic-secured Restaked Interoperability to many more chains.

Lastly, beyond Hyperlane’s v3 diff audit by Trail of Bits, this xERC20 Warp route implementation was audited by Creed and a security posture assessment was conducted by Everclear.

Out-of-the-Box Bridging

Hyperlane offers Warp Routes, an out-of-the-box token bridging application on Hyperlane. Warp Routes enable deployers to open up permissionless bridging for any asset between any Hyperlane-connected chain. It’s especially useful for assets that existing bridges won’t whitelist.

In addition Hyperlane offers a warp UI template for anyone to build a white label bridge on top of Hyperlane — with support for many token standards including xERC20. Any token can be bridged across Hyperlane’s expanding network of chains including a production ready UI like the Renzo bridge.

What’s Next

Hyperlane will be pivotal in bringing ezETH interop to many more chains within the Hyperlane network, including beyond EVM to Cosmos, Solana, Fuel, Move and more.

You too can bring ezETH to your chain permissionlessly — to bring a Hyperlane deployment to your chain, go to our docs or reach out to us under #developers on Discord.

More about Hyperlane

Hyperlane is the permissionless interoperability framework connecting the modular ecosystem. With Hyperlane, anyone can connect any blockchain, rollup, appchain, on any VM. Additionally, Hyperlane’s modular security stack gives developers the power to customize their interchain security to their needs.
