Professional Cryptocurrency Indexes For Kucoin
We are very excited to announce that cryptocurrency indexes for Kucoin are ready!
A cryptocurrency index is a number that refers to the relative value of a group of cryptocurrencies, the one and only number you need to explore the whole crypto industry.
In our case, it is a rules-based index designed to objectively measure the overall growth, daily and long-term movement of the blockchain sector. It does so by tracking the TOP- 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
In the case of Kucoin, It serves as a powerful tool for passive investors to monitor this asset class, and as an industry benchmark for institutional investors and investment managers.
What makes HQT indexes so unique
The index is calculated on the basis of prices and volumes data of more than 130 currency pairs from 5 crypto-exchanges. The price and volume of each quotation are reduced to a single currency of calculation — USDT.
For advanced indexes calculation the HyperQuant team used:
* each cryptocurrency pair’s weight;
* each cryptocurrency ticker weight;
* each crypto-exchange weight.
In addition to that, to avoid excessive influence on the value of the index of currencies such as BTC and ETH, a mechanism for balancing weights has been developed.
When calculating the above weights, both the volume of transactions and the capitalization of currencies are taken into account. In this case, the influence of the two above parameters on the resulting weight is regulated. Thus, it is impossible to manipulate the value of the index by deliberately increasing trading volumes.
It is possible to revise the composition of the indexes without a sudden change in the value of the index due to the presence in the calculation methodology of the corresponding algorithms.

LBank public API connector by HyperQuant
We present you a new improved version of .NET wrapper for LBank API created by HyperQuant. It is a unique connector based on asynchronous-model that can generate and process multiple parallel processes. For example, it can send data and receive requests at the same time without any delays.
