TL;DR: In April, Hypersign had a busy month with multiple events, partnerships, and technical updates. Co-founder Vikram Bhushan made appearances at several events, and Hypersign partnered with Power DAO, Nordek, and C2E to enhance the decentralized identity experience, furthering digital identity, blockchain identity, and self-sovereign identity solutions. Hypersign also underwent technical improvements, with Fyre switching to a new framework and introducing two new Hypersign Improvement Proposals.

Events

  • CryptoCosm Podcast (April 3rd): Vikram Bhushan shared Hypersign’s journey to becoming a plug-and-play decentralized identity solution built on Cosmos, exploring web3 identity, digital identity, and blockchain identity solutions.
  • AcknoLedger Community (April 7th): Vikram discussed the role of decentralized identity in the existing world of web3, touching on self-sovereign identity concepts and their importance in shaping a more secure digital landscape. (Watch here)
  • ARTEMeetup (April 12th): At this IRL event organized by Crypto Oasis in Dubai, Vikram presented Hypersign’s technology stack, including zero-knowledge proof applications for enhanced privacy and security.
  • Hypersign Community Call (April 13th): Hypersign held a community call to discuss the role of various stakeholders in the ecosystem, including validators, stakers, delegators, and community members, and their contributions to the decentralized identity infrastructure.
  • WEB3 Wednesday (April 19th): At the Block Club event, Vikram shared the founding story of Hypersign and its current state, elaborating on the development of web3 identity solutions and the potential for self-sovereign identity.

Partnerships

  • Power DAO (April 21st): Hypersign partnered with Power DAO to integrate decentralized identity tech with Power Browser’s Web3 capabilities, ensuring a safer, more private, and user-controlled internet, while promoting blockchain identity solutions.
  • Nordek (April 25th): Hypersign collaborated with Nordek to integrate its decentralized identity infrastructure into projects built on the Nordek platform, enhancing user identity verification and privacy features for fintech, gaming, and metaverse solutions.
  • C2E (April 27th): Hypersign partnered with C2E to provide a decentralized platform that empowers users to control their personal data, using DIDs to associate multiple wallets with a single DID for easier management, and leveraging zero-knowledge proof technologies for added privacy.

Technical Updates

  • Fyre Overhaul: Fyre is transitioning from Node.Js to Nest.Js, a more efficient and faster framework for server-side development, improving the performance of Hypersign’s digital identity solutions.
  • Hypersign Improvement Proposal — 9: This proposal highlights the need for a consensus wide fixed-fee for SSI-based transactions, enabling the community to vote on a sensible fee based on the HID token’s market price and making self-sovereign identity more accessible.
  • Hypersign Improvement Proposal — 10: The initial draft for this proposal details the did:hid W3C DID Method Specification, integrating web3 identity solutions into the broader ecosystem, and is on track to submit a Pull Request to the DID Spec Registries Github Repository.
