More logistics tech will be built in the next few years than has been built in the last few decades. Here’s a hendiatris collection looking for HyperTrack’s VP of Marketing.

Why is this a compelling opportunity?

Large-market, inflection-point and developer-driven

Logistics is 12% of global GDP, that’s $11T. The tech powering logistics is a mere 0.2% of that and stuck in the `90s. We predict that logistics tech will cross $100 billion and become larger than marketing tech within this decade. Our estimate is that over a million developers are building logistics apps for the future, and represent over 200k companies worldwide.

What’s driving the logistics tech shift?

On-demand, Complexity and Automation

  • Customers expect services to come to where they are, and they want it now. On-demand and hyper-local sound like last decade already, with quick and instance commerce being the new buzz.
  • Customer locations are distributed. Fulfillment workforce is distributed. Inventory is distributed. The logistics problem of orchestrating fulfillment is exponentially more complex.
  • Digitization and automation is existential. Doing things manually, with pen-and-paper or spreadsheets, means you are getting obsolete every second.

What do logistics tech builders want?

Last-mile, tech-talent and time-to-market

  • Real-time orchestration in the last mile. The last mile is a bulk of the problem and opportunity. Taming the last mile is about making the real-time movement of commerce programmable. This involves complex device-to-cloud location and mapping infrastructure.
  • More code to grow the business, less code to build and operate infrastructure. Hiring tech talent is harder than ever. Important to get them focused on what matters most.
  • Faster time to market. It’s not just customers who want it now. The business wants all ideas to get to production code within a sprint. If you don’t, the competition will.

What does HyperTrack do to solve that?

APIs, economics and support

  • Logistics APIs. For validated routes, on-demand dispatch, live order tracking, fleet productivity, mileage-based payouts and more.
  • Predictable price per order. How will cloud and maps API costs add up to unit costs is anybody’s guess. All our APIs are charged per order regardless of how much AWS or Google Maps is used under the hood.
  • The best support for your solution. We help you build your logistics apps and use cases with our APIs every step of the way. Users absolutely love our solution support regardless of your size, industry or region.

How do we market our product to users?

Inbound, product-led and modern-GTM

So far, our customers have found us online, through our content, open source apps or referrals. We need to step it up a notch though. We are building out a modern GTM playbook and looking for a marketing leader to take this on as their mission. This would involve building a marketing team of product marketing managers, digital marketers, demand generators and developer advocates.

What are we looking for in a marketing leader?

Thought-leader, team-leader and product-oriented

Must have:

  • Category Creation
  • Product Focused
  • Modern GTM

Should have:

  • API economy
  • Leadership experience
  • First marketer

Nice to have:

  • Location and Mapping
  • Ecommerce or Logistics Tech
  • Engineering degree

Classic job description here.

What stage are we?

Early-growth, global-first and healthy

  • 0 to 1 is done. That means PMF. We are now going from 1 to 10. Series A funded, amount undisclosed.
  • 20+ people, remote-first, US + East Europe + India. Awesome customers worldwide, North America > South Asia > ROW.
  • Usage growth, net retention rate, user love and tail winds are very strong.

How can you help?

Join, invite and direct

If you have read this far, do at least one of these three things.

  • If you are the marketing leader we are looking for, email me
  • If you know the marketing leader we should be talking to, email me
