Recapping the $100,000 Settlers of the Hypeverse Closing Ceremony
The Settlers of the Hypeverse $100,000 USDC event has concluded!
We’ve had some amazing times with everyone during the event, and have sincerely enjoyed every moment of getting to know you all over the last several weeks. The bonds formed between us in the Hypeverse community are the foundation of everything we’re striving to achieve. So before we move on with recapping the Final moments of the event, a sincere and heartfelt ‘thank you’ from us to you.
Since the Hypeverse first opened its gates to the world, Settlers have been participating in daily puzzle solving events. The presented challenges are folded into the lore of the Hypeverse, bringing the world alive through interactive storytelling. The scope of the puzzles has been massive, requiring a multitude of tools to solve. Only the power of collective minds, brought together around a love for all things Web3, blockchain, and gaming, could have solved such a series of conundrums.
Being the first to solve a puzzle nets the Settler points on a leaderboard, keeping track of and rewarding the massive efforts involved in cracking the correct answer. Additionally, Settlers have joined nightly events, including fun trivia sessions, game streams, and other community activities. Some for points, some for the joy of hanging out together.
At the conclusion of the Settlers event, the leaderboard was frozen and all points verified to determine the winners. Three of the absolutely most dedicated users emerged as clear winners.
We are beyond thrilled to award them with $10,000, $6,500, and $4,500 USDC respectively. We’ve also got a slew of other winners, with prizes ranging from $3,500 to $150.
During the closing ceremony, we also awarded the ‘Pillars’ role to 17 Settlers for being outstanding pillars of the community (get it…? pillars!) — demonstrating outstanding levels of dedication towards the fellow settlers on the server. These individuals have become a core part of the Hypeverse, creating content for others to enjoy, and driving the community forward.
We also had some fun with it, recalling some of the highlights of the event, and awarding just-for-fun ‘Most of’ achievements to Settlers.
Following this, we hosted a very special puzzle, in that it was created for the Hypeverse by the Settlers themselves! Two settlers, Breedindeath and Onuryazici, created what may have been one of the most challenging puzzles yet seen on the Hypeverse (or perhaps the poor moderators trying to solve it didn’t have the power of the community on their side!).
We at the Hypeverse team are moved to see such passion from our Settlers, and we believe we witnessed a perfect slice of how bright the future of the Hypeverse will be through their contributions that night.
