Hypnosis and mind control have been common themes in literature for centuries. But people are now discovering that we can use erotic hypnosis to explore and reshape our sexuality and grow in our relationships.

Authors from Homer (The Odyssey) to Bram Stoker (Dracula) included some form of hypnosis or mind control in their stories. In the 1960s-70s, hypnosis became one of the most prevalent themes in pop culture. Television programs such as Batman, Get Smart, Gilligan’s Island, Scooby Doo, Lost in Space, Josie and the Pussycats, and Superfriends all included hypnosis-related episodes.

At the same time, DC and Marvel comics developed dozens of mind controlling villains such as Emma Frost, Jarvis Tetch, Kilgrave, Poison Ivy, and The Ring Master. Each had their own style of mind control, some of which were overtly sexual. Poison Ivy, for example, used her sexuality to seduce men, then used sexual pheromones to entrance and enslave them. Kilgrave’s body produced pheromones that force people obey him. And he often used this power to compel women to love him.

Many of us growing up in the 1960s-70s saw the potential eroticism in hypnosis, but were frustrated by the limitations of popular culture. So when we came online and saw how many people shared our interest, we began building communities and writing our own stories. Soon home recording technology became affordable, and we started making audio files.

Most of our early audio files explored dominance and submission (D/s) fantasies. These files enabled us to explore these scenes privately and safely, to ‘test the waters’ before exploring D/s with a real partner.

We also explored consensual non-consent and forced arousal fantasies; scenes that were dangerous or impossible to explore in real life. But as our community grew and we shared our varied knowledge of hypnosis, we discovered something unexpected. We can use erotic hypnosis to explore many aspects of our sexuality and to even reshape it as we choose.

Most erotic hypnosis groups are inclusive, sex positive communities. (As of April 2020 , the reddit community alone includes 39,000 readers.) We welcome people from all walks of life, from the ‘just curious about hypnosis’ to the serious hypnofetishist, from the women still trying to have their first orgasm, to those who fantasize about forced arousal and non-consent sex, from the christian wife who wants to be more obedient to her husband, to the transgender individuals who want to be more feminine. People ask for guidance, help, and experience, and the community provides it.

With erotic hypnosis you can direct your own sexual growth. If you’re bi curious, you can explore this desire through hypnosis; discover what inhibitions prevent you from exploring it in person and learn how to overcome them.

If you’re in a relationship and your spouse’s sex drive is greater than yours, hypnosis can help you increase your drive and synchronize it with theirs. It can also help you improve your sensual awareness and become more responsive to a lover’s touch or kiss or more attuned to your lover’s responses. Not only with this help you become a better lover, but it can improve your intimacy and strengthen your relationship.

Many people share a desire to grow sexuality, and many couples explore erotic hypnosis together. Some may only wish to increase their pleasure. But many seek understanding. And with that understanding comes the knowledge that sexuality is flexible and evolving. And erotic hypnosis is the perfect tool for guiding and shaping that evolution, building intimacy and growing together.
