We write to turn our vision into actions!
When we started writing Hypto stories, we did not have any goal in mind. We did not setup any tracking tool or analytics or optimize for a target. We started to build a culture of writing amongst the entire team because when you write, you —
→ document what you think
→ give actions items to something that was in your head
→ get clarity about your thoughts
→ helps break down your thought process
→ understand what to do next
→ are motivated by what you have accomplished
→ are honest and transparent
→ improve every day from your previous state
→ plan better for your future
In short, writing makes your dreams a reality
I started writing and would have contributed most of the posts on Hypto here till date. I was pushing for people, in the beginning, to start writing — about anything, personal/professional, on Hypto’s blog/outside of Hypto, fiction/non-fiction. This is because I truly feel that writing helps you become a better version of yourself.
On a few days, I have also felt like not writing at all. It was more due to my inability to find something to write about. Whenever I write, the hardest part for me has been finding something to write about daily. So day before yesterday, was one such day where I absolutely could not gather anything to write about. I was not proud of what I did — in the end, I copy pasted a quote from someone I admire and found very interesting and added that the quote resonated. It did feel like cheating in some sense. But now I can think back to that and feel, yesterday I had one of my better writing days and in some sense, that cheat day helped me come up with something good to write about yesterday.
At the end of it, in a startup or in life, all that matters is showing up.
If you can muster the strength to show up every day, especially on those days where you feel like you can never do it, I guarantee that will change your life.
So, why do we write?
