Share your stories with us and join us as we grow together
We write for new writers (1 to 5 years in the craft) and we are now building a community of people who help each other write better. Our goal is to publish unique, high-quality articles that focus on creativity, writing, editing, publishing, and everything in between. We’re looking for you to share your stories and join us to help new writers improve their craft. Type of articles we are looking for include but is not limited to:
- Essays exploring different writing career paths.
- Unique or creative editing and publishing tips, tools, and methods. Standard advice, like write daily or break grammatical rules, is rejected.
- Advice on developing ideas.
- Advice on turning your writing into a sustainable business.
- In-depth explanations of different writing formats and styles.
- Personal development tips for writers.
- Unique language and grammar guides. Standard grammar advice isn’t exciting, but advice on utilizing inclusive language is.
- Marketing and sales tips for writers.
- First-person accounts of getting a book published.
- Interviews with experienced writers.
- Other creative pieces in which an audience of fellow writers can learn something new.
To write for us is simple, simply send an email with your Medium profile link (To get your profile link, click on your profile. The link should be similar to https://medium.com/@IAMAWRITER with your unique ID after the @ sign) to support@iamawriter.ca and you will be added to our list of writers.
You can submit a draft or published article on Medium after you’re added as a writer for us.
By submitting to I AM A WRITER, you agree that your submissions must comply with Medium’s Rules, Ad-Free Policy, Content Guidelines, and Curation Guidelines. Stories violating Medium’s rules will be reported.
Writers whose submissions are repeatedly rejected for violating medium rules may lose the ability to submit to I AM A WRITER.
