The After Hustle : What Will You Leave Behind?
Of-course its not a point of discussion that everyone needs to be successful but here is the thing, it is not always as simple as you might wish and that is some real shit to be discussed. Many people think that starting a business will secure their money for life but not realise, along with the fact, that you will need to work your ass off to keep your business afloat. Yes, no sugar coating; just the cold hard facts!
Starting a business just to make money for the hell of it will get you nowhere. We are all here to make money right?, but is that all you want in life; money and nothing else? You need to build your business on something that you believe in because if you believe in the product or service you have to offer and work to make it successful, you will never ever have to worry that you might go under.
If you are stuck at a point in your business life where you need to constantly check if someone else is offering the same service or product you have, you better just close your doors right away. The world is constantly changing and there are inevitable amounts of demands to be met so you need to make sure that what your offer is unique and stays that way. To be honest, my dear reader — the constantly changing market doesn’t gives a shit about you or your old executions strategy. Constantly improving what you already have is the only way you will ensure your business stays unique and at the top of your customer’s list.
Also you need to understand that you can not stop or control people copying your business models, service or ideas. The only thing to survive is to be better and updated. Yes, as I said, there will be no sugar coating…Its all about constantly shifting your focus to the current alignment of the market.
You need to have a heart of steel to build a successful business my friend, no kidding! You will encounter cash flow problems, dips in the economy and issues with your product efficiency and that is only naming a few things that might go wrong. The only way you can keep your business from sinking is to learn how to manage your business with the ‘minimum of everything and maximum of risk/loopholes’. Needless to say, is that not the reason you started your business in the first place; to make money? True, but you need to keep enough money aside to ensure you are prepared for the months your business does not do too well. Face it; EVERY business has their ups and downs.
So what’s the perk of all this hustle in the long run?
Just money?
A successful business?
Nope. I guess Legacy.
When your grandchildren sit on your lap in many years to come, they will ask you one thing: “How did your business become so successful?” The answer you give them must be simple. I started out with nothing; just a dream. The difference is, I believed in that dream and I made it a reality. I believed in my dream from the day that I opened my doors to the day I thought I will not be able to open them the next day. None the less, I opened the next day and the next and before I knew it, my dream became a reality, one that I am able to share with you every day and leave to you one day to carry on believing in the same dream I had dreamt from when I was just about your age…(and the story begins yet again)
