You’re Worth It, So Why Don’t You Believe It?

Whether it’s being accepted to a specific group, asking for a promotion or figuring out how much to price your services, it’s critical to not forget your worth.

If you’ve been fortunate, you may have had people throughout your life remind you of how wonderful you are at certain things.

Perhaps you’ve heard, “You have so much to offer. I know you’ll go far in life.”

Or better yet, they may have told you how lucky “so and so” would be to work with you.

Words can certainly look, sound and feel good.

Unfortunately they don’t mean anything if they don’t resonate with their intended audience. If you believed them you wouldn’t be reading this right now.

The problem with self worth is not that others will challenge it.

The problem with self worth is that we continuously challenge ourselves.

  • Am I good enough?
  • Do I deserve that much pay?
  • What if they think I’m greedy? What if they think I’m a bargain and not take me seriously?
  • What if they reject me? Worse yet, what if they accept me but I fail to meet their needs?

But what if something goes RIGHT?!?

You’ll never know if you don’t give yourself a chance.

I would much rather try and be rejected than live thinking “what if” for the rest of my life.

To go for it means to believe in yourself.

It is impossible for you to own your self worth if you have not convinced yourself of what that is, regardless of others’ opinions.

If you want to be valuable you must not just think but believe that you are valuable.

How are you different than anyone else?

What uniqueness do you bring to the table?

Everyone has something.

Since we are all born to be different, saying you don’t stand out is an excuse. An excuse to not face yourself and the fear that is keeping you from seeing your value.

As life hands you scenarios that challenge your self awareness, take control of defining and standing up for your own worth.

Value is relative.

Don’t give others permission to box you into a category that does not truly represent you.

The question isn’t what are you worth but rather, what do you believe you are worth?

Stop comparing yourself to others and start owning you.

Be fearless. Own who you are and love it. Join our journey of empowerment by following us and/or sharing your story. Contact Andrea at andrea@sparkstory.co for more details.
