Dates are known to be sweet and delicious. Many people are now switching from normal sugar to date syrup as an alternative to sweetener and I must admit, it is a novel idea.

Not only will your body thank you but also your eyes.

Dates are known to reduce the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration? I didn’t either. I just found out.

And it makes sense because this fruit is packed full of vitamins such as A and K, minerals, iron, calcium, magnesium, riboflavin, thiamin, zinc, and folate. These properties are great for maintaining a good vision. They are also extremely effective in protecting against night blindness.

I have always loved dates. I usually incorporate them with Tigernuts and coconuts to make drinks but I have never considered them good eye food. Now that I know, you can bet that I will be having more of them.

How about you, did you know that Dates are good for the eyes
