This is a solo project and it's not about bugs. Well, not always.

Writing for publications on Medium is enjoyable and also challenging. I must follow a distinct style guide and shape my topic to each publication's theme. Sometimes I work with an editor, which almost always improves my piece. I'm growing my journalistic skills and learning how to write in a way that draws a reader into and through the article.

But sometimes, I just want to share. Perhaps I'm short on time that week and don't have room to prune my prose to meet editorial guidelines. Maybe it's a topic that Medium's algorithm will ignore, like my research-heavy blasts of enthusiasm about volcanoes and dragonflies. Or, I simply want to share something small and personal that I would have written on my blog in the past.
