Both sides

Rochelle Udell has lived at least 10 lives: she started working at her father’s bakery and then graduated in design and worked as creative and art director at Condè Nast for Vogue, GQ, and SELF, where she was editor-in-chief.

She worked also in the advertising world, creating one of the most successful campaign ever: the one for Calvin Klein with Brooke Shields asking “You want to know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing.”

Because of her kind of job, always split between advertising and media, she had the chance to see and understand both sides of the — often — same equation.

She founded also the very first food website ever back in 1995 (that is the prehistory of the Internet): Epicurious.

Talking about food, I really love what she says:

You can learn everything from food: geography, language, math, gardening, farming, health, biology. It’s an entire curriculum.

That’s true. So many things, at least as many as Rochelle has been able to accomplish through all her life.
