Escaping scarcity
Tunnel Vision, Hidden Brain
Decision making is often driven by the environment: our social status, our relationships and our jobs. We can also decide because we’re focused on something and that’s a good thing: in doing so, we overestimate our goal and underestimate the rest.
But sometimes that can turn really bad too. One of the main and worst drivers in decision making is in fact scarcity: we decide because we’re afraid of something or we lack something else, like money. Same applies to time too: we can be wealthy and healthy but still always run out of time.
Aknowledging it is the right beginning.
