Jerry Seinfeld’s Donut Holes

Have you ever thought about donut holes? I mean, you know a donut has a hole in the middle and there has to be a hole in order to call “donut” a donut, but what we’re calling “a donut hole” is not actually made of donut. Even from a philosophical point of view. Jerry Seinfeld talks about donut holes for almost 10 minutes in this interview, can you believe that? And the good thing is that he’s always funny.

Seinfeld is still one of the best comedian around, even if it’s quite rare to see him after his TV show stopped some decades ago. He still is one of those new yorkers kind of man: I mean with that a man able to mix irony and cynicism like only a new yorker can. It’s a special blend of jewish-ism and the attitude that you can only get living in a city like New York.

He’s anyway always able to deliver such great observations on life that leave you telling yourself “Yes, this is just true, it’s like that”, like the one on current talk shows and why he doesn’t do them because“Everybody is there just to sell something” and the very simple one on coffee:

Coffee is such a thing. It’s just a cup of liquid but it’s something. It’s not like getting a lemonade.

In the end, Jerry tells you just like it is, like a new yorker does. And that’s always good.
